The Learning Index Page

The Learning Index page serves as a resource for journalists to bolster their investigative journalism skills. It includes sequenced lessons, and exams throughout the course.

Basic structure

The Learning section is structured like a tree.

The Learning Index Page is the trunk, which branches off to multiple modules called Learning pages. Each learning page can be either a Lesson, an Assessment or an Assignment.

You determine what kind it is by the child pages (leaves) you create under them.

You can create:

  1. Learning Session pages - For lessons

  2. Question pages - For MCQ type questions and answers

  3. Assignment pages - For long form assignments that will be reviewed.

Editing the Index Page

The blog index page is located in Learning. It contains some information about the learning module as well as a list of lessons.

You can edit the Learning page from the CMS by following the menu:

Pages -> Home -> Investigative Journalism

From here you can create and edit the various lessons and tests/assessments

You can also edit the information on the index page by clicking on the Edit button where you enter/edit the title, intro, instructor, audience, description and the featured image.
