## [0.15.0] - 2026-04-25

Relicensed to GPL-3.0-only, new --example flag for profiling example targets, and fixes for library crate instrumentation and process lifecycle races.

### Added

- `--example` flag to build and profile example targets, matching cargo's `--example` flag (#623)

### Changed

- License changed from MIT to GPL-3.0-only for both `piano` and `piano-runtime`. All versions up to and including 0.14.2 remain available under MIT.
- `--top` suppresses the "N functions hidden" footer when explicitly passed. The footer still appears when the default limit truncates output.
- Function names in reports now include the enclosing impl type (e.g., `Parser::parse` instead of `parse`)

### Fixed

- Library crates in single-package projects with both `src/lib.rs` and `src/main.rs` are now instrumented. Previously only the binary crate was instrumented, silently skipping library functions.
- Three race conditions in process lifecycle eliminated by moving to single-threaded execution for the wrapper-to-child handoff
- Wrapper passes the config path as a parameter instead of re-reading the environment variable, fixing a class of bugs where the wrapper and child disagreed on configuration
