Description of Change
Follow up to this PR in which we can simplify much of this code by consolidating calls and making a more complex table structure. Originally this work was ib this PR, but I've pulled it out for easier review and to keep this "simplification" and the more generic lifecycle handler consolidation separate.
I also included some simplifications in the component update system for camera.
Summary of Completed Tests
Functionally, the code should be identical.
