  • Database Integration:: Utilizes MySQL for managing student, course, and faculty data with tables like students, courses, faculties, and attendance​
  • Role-Based Access:: Implements distinct views and functionalities for administrators and faculty using Java Swing interfaces.
  • Attendance and Grading Logic:: Processes attendance and grading through C++ executables integrated with Java using ProcessBuilder.
  • Validation Mechanisms:: Ensures input accuracy by validating formats for fields like StudentID, Date, and Grade using regex
  • GUI Framework:: Built using Java Swing for front-end interactions, featuring dynamic forms and tables to display and edit student data

How to Install

Option 1: Directly Download

Option 2: Build and Run

  • Clone/Download the repository

  • Download MySQL and Maven in your pc. And set them up. Write down the username and password registered with MySQL

  • Locate the repository in your local machine

  • Open the folder on your pc and run command prompt on this path

  • Input mvn clean package onto the terminal and wait for the build.

  • After a successful build, a target folder will be generated. Open it and place the languages.xml , and all the three .exe exutables file in it.

  • Go to MySQL and enter the password to enter it.

  • **Write the following command: create database studentsdb;

  • Run S-M-S-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar

  • Enter your MySQL username and password to establish a successful connection.

  • Once a successful connection is established, you can add the students, faculties and courses. Then login using faculty to grade or mark attendance for the students and generate reports.
