Welcome to starward! This tool helps you with astronomy calculations, such as finding Sun and Moon positions, rise and set times, and much more. It's designed for anyone interested in exploring the night sky, even if you have no technical skills.
To get started, you need to download the software.
- Visit this page to download: starward Releases Page.
- Look for the latest version of the software.
- Click on the version name to access the download options.
- Choose the file that matches your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
- Once the file downloads, locate it on your computer, and double-click to run the installer.
Make sure your system meets these requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.15 or later, Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 or later).
- Python: Version 3.6 or later. If you donβt have Python, you can download it from the official Python website.
- Sun and Moon Positions: Quickly find where the Sun and Moon are in the sky.
- Rise/Set Times: Get accurate rise and set times for any date and location.
- Twilight Calculation: Determine when twilight starts and ends.
- Phases of the Moon: Know what phase the Moon is in on any given night.
- Coordinate Transformations: Convert between different celestial coordinate systems.
- Julian Dates: Calculate Julian dates, a crucial tool for astronomers.
- Visibility Planning: Check visibility for celestial events.
After installation, open the application. You will see a simple interface.
To get accurate results, select your location. The tool includes a way to input your coordinates.
Choose the date and time for which you want to conduct your calculations. Use the date picker to simplify this task.
