Big changes.

  • Added a more explicit info box to the kindle models page explaining that if their model and firmware version is not listed in the kindle models list, then their kindle cannot be jailbroken. This should work as the ultimate "if this is your situation, then it's not possible". I know questions about it will never end, I know...
  • Removed the "please check that your kindle is compatible with legacy-jailbreak-name" broken links for the legacy jailbreaks and added a firmware range in the prerequisites since we favor Winterbreak over them. This way we can also help people with blacklisted/offline kindles in giving them specific firmware ranges
  • Fixed the "blastlisted" minor spelling mistake on Winterbreak2
  • modified F.A.Q:
    • Listed a couple of jailbreaks that work for blacklisted kindles
    • Added a "please do not attempt to use nilujes scrensaver hack" warning. I know that new series manager extension does it on newer firmware but let's just avoid that responsibility entirely.
    • minor spelling mistakes
  • Block OTA Update page:
    • Added a "verify if the blocker works" extra guide because people have also been asking for this
  • Prevent Auto Updates
    • Since the original filler script author deleted the dummy files for mtp devices, I have added a new guide for the new mtp filler script this one user shared on the discord server, it does work and added images to this new guide in addition to a brief explanation and guidance over mtp and non-mtp devices.
      • I know h9 has an easier one, and that there's that one page that generates dummy files but this new script supports the three operating systems and might be easier to follow
    • Made the after-jailbreaking section more beginner friendly. Telling people they can delete the dummy files by hand and not with a linux command may be easier overall
    • The original filler script no longer has any other scripts than the filler one, so I deleted the mention of the repo having more scripts
    • Moved the powershell image to a new slide on the non-mtp guide so it didnt made the slide box larger in height

In the second commit:

  • Hotfix
    • Removed the info box about not being able to update/apply the file because of renametobin to avoid confusion
    • Added more troubleshooting self checks and moved the renametobin steps just below those
  • Prevent Auto Updates
    • Rewrote the condition people have to check before attempting any of the scripts to make it clearer

I know the disk-filler-script repo has two PRs that add support for MTP devices to the script. And I would agree in nuking this new guide and script out of the PR if they ever add it, but so far they haven't merged any of the PRs. So we just have to wait it out

removed confusing box for hotfix
