argus is a Windows app for cyber threat detection and threat intel. It helps you track alerts, spot strange behavior, and view activity in one place.
It is built for people who want a clear view of what is happening on a network. The app brings together:

Before you start, make sure your Windows PC has:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- 8 GB of RAM or more
- 2 GB of free disk space
- A stable internet connection
- A modern web browser like Edge, Chrome, or Firefox
For best results, use a machine with a newer Intel or AMD processor and at least 16 GB of RAM.

If the page has a release file, download the Windows version. If it gives you a ZIP file, save it to your PC.
- Open the download page.
- Find the latest Windows download.
- Click the file to save it.
- If the file is a ZIP folder, right-click it and choose Extract All.
- Open the extracted folder.
- Look for the app file, such as
argus.exe. - Double-click the file to start the app.
If Windows asks for permission, choose Yes.
When argus opens for the first time:

If the app does not open:
- Check that the file finished downloading.
- Make sure you extracted the ZIP file first.
- Right-click the app and choose Run as administrator.

If the dashboard is blank:
- Confirm your data source is set.
- Refresh the page or app window.
- Check your internet connection.
- Load a test file to confirm the app works.
- Restart the app.
If the app feels slow:
- Close other large apps.
- Use a PC with more memory.
- Load smaller test data first.
- Reduce the number of events shown on screen.
