👨‍🔬 About Me

Hi! I'm a PhD candidate at the Instituto de Física y Astronomía, Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile, and a member of the Massive Stars Group. My work focuses on the physics of the most luminous stars in the universe — how they lose mass through powerful radiation-driven winds.

🔭 Research Interests

  • O-type stars and their radiation-driven stellar winds
  • Self-consistent hydrodynamic models using the m-CAK theory
  • Mass-loss rates (Ṁ) beyond the classical β-law parametrization
  • Slow solutions and alternative hydrodynamic wind formalisms

📄 Selected Publications

Year Title Journal
2026 New self-consistent theoretical descriptions for mass-loss rates of O-type stars A&A
2024 New orbital periods of high-inclination dwarf novae based on Gaia Alerts photometry A&A
2022 DELIGHT: Deep Learning Identification of Galaxy Hosts of Transients ApJ
2022 New self-consistent wind parameters to fit optical spectra of O-type stars (HERMES) A&A
