> DevSecOps Engineer in Training | Ex-Military | Lifelong Computer Lover

👾 About Me

I've loved computers since my dad put a Dell with a CD-ROM in front of me in the late '80s. That was it. I was done. Hooked for life.

I'm a veteran turned DevSecOps engineer-in-training — combining a military security mindset with a genuine obsession for building and automating things that actually help people.

Currently working toward CompTIA Linux+ and building a portfolio that proves the work, not just talks about it.

🛠️ What I'm Working With

Shell & Scripting Bash Python

Environment Linux Ubuntu Neovim Git

Learning Next Docker AWS GitHub Actions

📁 Active Projects

Project What It Does
password_strength_checker Python tool that scores password strength — built with functions, loops, scoring logic, and hidden input
file_organizer Auto-sorts files into folders by extension using os and shutil
sysinfo_bash Bash script: user, hostname, OS, memory, disk, uptime — all in one clean output
network_scanner Python network scanner — because I like knowing what's on my network
system_info_tool Python-based system info tool
log_analyzer Log analysis script — troubleshooting is a skill, not a guess

🎯 Current Mission

[▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░░░░░░░░░░░] CompTIA Linux+ XK0-006 — Week 1/6
[▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░░░░░░] Bash Scripting — Intermediate
[▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░░░░░░] Python Automation — Intermediate
[▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░░░░] Linux/WSL Daily Use — Advanced
[▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░░░░░░░░] Git & GitHub — Growing

Roadmap: Linux+ → Security+ → Docker → Cloud → CI/CD → DevSecOps Engineer ✅

🧠 How I Think

  • Systems thinker — I see how the pieces connect before I write a single line
  • Military background — I don't panic under pressure, I debug under pressure
  • Builder mentality — if I can automate it, I will
  • I want to build things that visibly help real people — that's the whole point

📬 Let's Connect

I'm actively building, learning, and looking for my first junior DevSecOps or Linux admin role.

If you're building something that matters — I'd love to be part of it.
