Hey, I'm Ashrith 👋

Robotics Engineering @ University of Michigan · Ann Arbor

I build autonomous systems that perceive, reason, and act in unstructured environments — underwater, on the road, and at the microscale.

Currently interested in neuro-symbolic AI, bridging learned representations with structured reasoning for robust robot decision-making.


🔬 What I'm Working On

  • Autonomous Shipwreck Inspection — Full pipeline (search → detect → circumnavigate → 3D coverage) for underwater vehicles in NVIDIA Isaac Sim / OceanSim with ROS2 and SAM2
  • Magnetic Microrobot Swarms — Closed-loop PID control of 3×3 microrobot arrays for biomedical applications (SAM Lab, UMich)
  • Satellite Detection with Event Cameras — Leveraging event camera streams for robust satellite detection and tracking in space-aware perception
  • Full-Stack Autonomous Driving — VLA + Safety Force Field architecture in NVIDIA Isaac Sim with multi-modal sensor fusion
