On my VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS evaluation kits, the USB-A ports work fine with mx8mp-yocto-scarthgap-6.6.y_2.2.2-v1.2 image, but with mx8mp-debian-bookworm-6.6.y_24.12-v1.2 they fail to enumerate HID and mass storage devices, while the USB-C port works fine.
The USB-A ports are providing 5V power. I've poked around for a bit and it's not clear to me why the USB-A ports are behaving this way with the Debian image. Nothing appears in dmesg when I attach a USB device to an A port.
