- Live URL:

- Page type (Fern): overview
- Approx. length: 37 lines
What's there today
- Introduces WebRTC as an open-source project for real-time voice/video in browsers; generic explanations suitable for any WebRTC explainer
- Provides browser-compatibility matrix (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi) with a note that "no plugins or extensions are needed"
Problem
- Opens with one sentence—"SignalWire uses WebRTC as the transport layer for browser-based voice and video calling"—but never expands to show what that means in practice (which SDKs, APIs, or use cases invoke it)
We should have a discussion on who this page is servicing and whether or not we want to add context to make this page SignalWire specific in nature. Right now it is a general explanation of WebRTC, but do users really need that without the additional SignalWire context? Also, do people come to the SignalWire technical docs and not know what WebRTC is?
