Preprint stats aren't filtering by date in Reporting Plugin

Describe the bug
The reporting plugin does not filter views & downloads by dates and instead appears to display them for all time.

Janeway version
1.7.3

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. On a Janeway instance with an active Repository, log in on a Superuser/Repository Manager account /plugins/reporting/repository/metrics/

2. Filter to a month, e.g. 2025-04-01 to 2025-05-01, then sort by most downloaded object
   

3. Widen the range, then sort by most downloaded object, e.g. 2025-01-01 to 2025-05-01
   

4. Note the lack of change in numbers

Expected behavior
View & Download counts should be only for the selected dates, not all time

@ajrbyers mentioned that they weren't seen this issue in local tests; we'll check whether 1.8 has resolved it

Hi @alainna this is a bug that has potentially been fixed in the reporting plugin code. Do you know what version of the reporting plugin was installed when this was discovered? (That version number is different from the version of core Janeway.)
