Facing GStreamer error while running the solution locally

Hello Team,

Trying to run the solution locally but getting below error at the step

I installed and configure NGINX. but while testing NGINX server configuration getting error.

I have reinstalled gstreamer already and restarted my pc but same error came up. Also looked it up on the directory and confirmed that the libgstwavpack.dll is available inside it. Not sure what’s causing it.

Hi @Sagar-Malpure, could you share the error logs from NGINX? Before assuming that it is a gstreamer installation error, could you share the stdout of gst-device-monitor-1.0? According to the could not open resource for reading, it seems that the pipeline cannot get access to the microphone/device you are trying to capture (the one that you specified on the wasapisrc plugin).

You can split the pipeline into multiple ones, so you can decouple NGINX from the issue and try to understand which part of the pipeline is failing.

Let's consider the following pipeline (it is similar to the previous one, but without encoding and without using RTMP)
gst-launch-1.0 -v wasapisrc device="{0.0.0.00000000}.{42c3acf6-db96-4c18-aa9e-c863f3a8a68e}" ! fakesink ksvideosrc do-stats=TRUE ! videoconvert ! autovideosink

You can split it into the following ones:
Audio pipeline: gst-launch-1.0 -v wasapisrc device="{0.0.0.00000000}.{42c3acf6-db96-4c18-aa9e-c863f3a8a68e}" ! fakesink

Video pipeline: gst-launch-1.0 -v ksvideosrc do-stats=TRUE ! videoconvert ! autovideosink

If the video pipeline is able to capture your webcam and display the video, we can rule out that the problem is in the video capture. If the audio pipeline throws an error, you should try to change the device (if you have another one of class Audio/Source according to gst-device-monitor-1.0). In my case, sometimes I have issues capturing my Bluetooth headset while using wasapisrc so I have to switch to the laptop microphone.

after performing above steps video pipeline is working as expected but we are getting same error for audio pipeline.
we tried directly with laptop microphone and Bluetooth headset but getting same error.
"Failed to load plugin ...." please find below screenshot.

Hi @Sagar-Malpure, the first error ays that wasapisrc couldn't use your device to capture the audio. The second one doesn't have enough details. You should enable/use GST_DEBUG to log the messages and dump more details.

However, for testing NGINX configuration, this step is not required. You can use OBS to push RTMP into your NGINX server, but if you insist on using GStreamer, you can replace the wasapisrc plugin by audiotestsrc and just simply send a test audio signal.
