Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

This document is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction before relying on it for your product, company, or deployment.

Software “as is”

The Task Hub software (this repository and any derivatives, “the Software”) is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

The authors, contributors, and copyright holders (collectively, “we,” “us,” or “maintainers”) do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

No liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the maintainers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Software, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Artificial intelligence (AI)

The Software may invoke third-party AI services (e.g., OpenAI) to generate text, structured data, or other outputs. AI systems can and do produce incorrect, incomplete, biased, offensive, or harmful content. Outputs may not reflect facts, safe practices, or your intentions.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it (including tasks, schedules, summaries, alerts, or voice transcriptions).
  • Decisions you make based on AI outputs.
  • Compliance with laws and regulations applicable to your use case and jurisdiction.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from AI outputs, model behavior, service outages, rate limits, policy changes by AI providers, or errors in speech recognition or natural-language understanding.

The Software does not provide professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Do not use it as a substitute for qualified professionals.

Third-party services

Your use of third-party APIs (including OpenAI), hosting providers, databases, and browsers is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for those services.

Open-source licensing

Liability limitations above apply in addition to any license terms in this repository (e.g., MIT). If no LICENSE file is present, you should add one; until then, default copyright rules in your jurisdiction may apply.
