Black window appears, "Setting up environment..." and the progress bar never moves. I let it sit for hours.

This usually means the bundled Python was not properly extracted or is not accessible.

Could you try:

Re-downloading and reinstalling the application

Making sure the AppImage has execution permissions (chmod +x)

Checking if your system is cleaning or restricting /tmp

Also, could you let us know which OS you are using ?

Let us know if the issue persists after that.

same error - checksums match

If it wasn't executable, I would be getting a permission denied error

further investigation:
The path - /tmp/.mount_Modley-whatever/resources/python-embed does not exist, which explains the ENOENT error - which mean Error NO ENTry (or Error NO ENTity), basically a "file not found" error.

Under the resources directory: api app.asar app-update.yml
resources/api: main.py README.md requirements.txt resources routers schemas services texture_baker uv_unwrapper

I did a $ find . -type f -name python3 under the main folder and there isn't a python3 file anywhere in it.

Hi,

Could you please try the following steps:

1. Uninstall the previous version (0.1.3)

2. Delete all model, extension, and workspace folders

3. Remove the configuration folder:

   • Windows: %appdata%/Roaming/Modly
   • Linux: ~/.config/Modly

4. Install version 0.2.0

This issue should be fixed in version 0.2.0, so please let us know if it persists after the update.
