Hmmm, ok I'm still investigating this. You can use this older build for the moment if this is a complete blocker for you:
https://sqlprostudio.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/studio/SQLProStudio.2026.107.app.zip

While I get this sorted. If you do use that older build, could you let me know what version of MySQL you are using? When you connect, it should show it in the database tree.

If you get the chance, could you run this query on the working version and let me know the results?

UNION ALL SELECT 'ssl_cipher', @@ssl_cipher;

If that fails to run, could you just run:

SELECT VERSION(), @@version_comment;

If you get the chance, could you try https://sqlprostudio.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/studio/SQLProStudio.2026.163.app.zip? I believe this will work for you and if so, I will get a setapp build submitted with the same fix.
