Smarter window positioning for multi-screen setups

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The current implementation by inputing specific x-y coordinates only works if you use a fixed display system (e.g., desktop with multiple monitors). For laptops that can get hooked to different monitor setups at different locations, the coordinates got thrown off. I essentially have to use Windows' snapping feature to retrieve the window.

A smarter, long-term way for users to set the window position, perhaps with a proper option in the GUI instead of locking it to power users.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Removing my set coordinates, which would default the application window to open on the upper left corner of one of the screens.

Edit: Thinking about it, I dont think so. changing Multi monitor setup will definitely be hard to handle. How does other software handle it by the way @dreadbalaur ?

@mwestphal not entirely sure, I will play around and take notes of how other softwares handle it later. It is not something that I have ever thought about actively.
F3d's behaviour is unique in that, once the coordinates got thrown off and depending on the setup, the window is just not visible on any screens and can only be retrieved through window snapping or disconnecting additional displays.
A simple, but restrictive workaround is forcing f3d to only open on whichever is treated as the main display so that it is not influenced by external displays.

The thing is, F3D doesnt do anything, it let the system put the window where it wants, which the size it wants, nothing is being forced at all.

But it looks like some OS dont have good defaults for that and the windows ends up ... somwhere.

We may indeed need to validate the OS behavior on that regard to make sure it is visible somewhere, but writing that in a cross-platform, elegant and consise way may prove challenging.

You can add Windows 11 25H2 on record as my OS.

The default position is to launch f3d on the upper left corner of the screen. This doesn't work for my setup because I have the taskbar set on top.

I will test with config.json (which I used to set the specific screen coordinates) disabled to see how the default behaviour is affected with alternating external displays.
