Recently, Michael has made the page https://dharmalekha.info/people available (via the Internal menu).

Unless you have objections, I would like to start editing the source XML file project-documentation/DHARMA_idListMembers_v01.xml, taking the follows steps:

1. removing or commenting out entries for persons who have made no editorial contribution to our database:

• Acharya, Diwakar (diac)
• Agustijanto Indrajaya (agin)
• A. Moise Irudayaraj (moir)
• Bisschop, Peter (pebi)
• Bodard, Gabriel (gabo)
• Brocquet, Sylvain (sybr)
  etc.

2. adding <affiliation>...</affiliation> for people still lacking one, which is the vast majority (see the entry for me for an exception)
3. adding IdRef, ORCID, VIAF for participants still lacking them, and asking the relevant people to create ORCID if they don't have one yet
4. checking correctness of forename/surname distinction (e.g., for people with Chinese names like Fu Fan and Yunheng Xu)

Re. 1, would you advise removing or commenting out?
Re. 2, there are a number of names of people I do not know at all, like Yunheng Xu and Darlini Canabady Moutien — it would be helpful if the other PIs went through the file and filled in <affiliation></affiliation> for people I am liable not to know who are working in their team.

I think removing is fine and there's no need to clutter the file with commented-out people. The previous version will anyway be archived on github in case we ever need to add someone back.

thanks. indeed I could copy v01 and save the new version as v02 (project-documentation/DHARMA_idListMembers_v02.xml) if that meets with @michaelnmmeyer's approval.

I meant that the old version will remain available in history even if you don't create a new file.

@arlogriffiths Actually, you should rename it to DHARMA_idListMembers.xml, without the version number. I will need to update the processing code accordingly, so tell me when you're done.

I will update TFA stuff when you are done.
Please retain Yunheng Xu as he will contribute editions soon.

@manufrancis : done. the new file DHARMA_IdListMembers.xml is in place and ready to be edited by you. Darlini, Premukumar and other people unknown to me require attention. All the fairly anonymous people with Indonesian-sounding names are known to me and are contributing; details to follow for them.
@michaelnmmeyer :

1. please update the processing code as necessary
2. note that the <title> field now has as contents "Contributors to this database" — please display this instead of "People", change the page https://dharmalekha.info/people to https://dharmalekha.info/contributors and make any further consequent changes
3. in some XML files, we have <p>Internal URIs using the part prefix to point to person elements in the <ref>DHARMA_IdListMembers_v01.xml</ref> file.</p> — please replace all cases of DHARMA_IdListMembers_v01.xml by DHARMA_IdListMembers.xml.

Done. There will most likely be bugs due to the massive modifications.
