The app doesn't affect the blocklist if VPN is active

macOS Monterey Version 12.7.6
Proton VPN 4.8.0
I'm not 100% sure, but I think it worked with my VPN on previously, but setting the Block Timer to reasonable duration, around 3 days (60-70 hours or so…), not like described below. But again, I can't confirm it. Sorry :(
This time I set the blocktime to over 2,000 (yes, 2K) hours… On purpose.
To reproduce, I can only think of what I did.
I added almost 1,000 sites. You probably are getting the idea of what I'm talking about. After that, I hit Extend Block Timer, and followed with "abusing" the slider until I got 2,222 hours, so over 90 days.
What would this have looked like if it had worked? What did you expect to happen?
No errors. Works when I deactivate VPN. With the VPN on, doesn't work.
Please help. The Force is not with me without SeldControl.
