information for running qPCR?

Hello!

I am looking through the handbook and see that the qPCR information is from 2015... is there updated info somewhere?

Or a manual for whatever current machine we have that I can look at?

Any other tips and tricks?

Hoping to run 40 samples on it within the next week... I just received my gblock and other reagents today... Ideally I'll have the results before I got to Friday Harbor May 15th!

Other than the cost of reagents, the qPCR protocol in the handbook is accurate/current.

The two machines we currently have are CFX Connect and CFX96, if you want to hunt for manuals online.

Oh, and I guess it's not mentioned in the handbook, but running all samples (including controls) in triplicate is recommended.

Also, regarding tips/tricks for your qPCR, I think we'd need more info on what you're working with (i.e. is this cDNA? If it's cDNA, have you already established which normalizing gene(s) you're going to use? Is it gDNA? Do you need/have positive controls? Do you need/have a standard curve? What's a gblock? What's your amplicon size?)

If you want to drop that kind of info here, we're happy to provide more suggestsions.
