Request: Can you create Nuget packages that Target .Net Core (i.e. 8/9/10)

Yes, I know that .netcore2.0 works...
But it should be also .netcore 2.1 for the modern era upto .Net5

Then explicit version targeting .net LTSC versions with their optimisations in place (like the newer replacements for PInvoke caching etc)

Any optimizations like the ones you reference, @Smurf-IV, aren't they in the runtime? If so, it doesn't require any new binaries.

Unless you're on to the source-generated pinvokes, which would also require code changes, rather than simply framework upgrades.

The change is small enough for me to say its likely to just work. I've targeted netx.x-windows, as that should also implicitly make any method you call windows-only, wrt. platform support on your end, iirc.

And then I targeted net7 because it introduced library import, and net8 because its an LTS version - as you suggested.

Tested the nuget - It works,
Can the same be applied to the DeviceIO project as well please;

Note; Compiling your code before this change in .net10 (both projects) gives about 10% greater throughput.
From experience, from 8 -> 9 -> 10, I have got a 5% improvement On each step of those TFM's,
So can you also (At least) do a .net 10 LTS version please (And run CoPilot over it to see if it can suggest greater usage of .Net 8 (10) code improvements (i.e. ReadOnlySpans etc.)
