This is cool. I made a really powerful MCP that fully and directly controls all of FCPX directly if you'd be interested in building off of that instead. It's so much nicer, no "reload" workflows needed, and you can do a lot more by just directly controlling things within FCPX.
The only downside is that you need to run a onetime patch on the Final Cut Pro X app as it doesn't normally expose all of the internal APIs.
